Yesterday Room 16 went to the art room to see a lady named Olivia and she took off her work time and came to Summerland Primary. She works at St Johns.Olivia taught us how to ring the ambulance and how to wrap a bandage around a kid or teenager. We even played a game and we had to look at pictures and do actions when Olivia put up the pictures. At the end of it we got given freshly made apples.

Sizzling Science
Yesterday Natasha came in to our sizzling class. Natasha has a job that is a science teacher. She works at a highschool. She brought in two liquids in some containers, 10c coins that were dirty, little pieces of copper, metal, lemon juice and vinegar. We got a container of juice or vinegar, we put the coin in and then after a while there was no dirt on them anymore. Then we got a container of acid and put the piece of metal in and then it just disappeared. And we put two liquids together and it turned into a solid. They were all chemical changes. By Abbey

Hello from Mrs Boric
Hi Room 16. I hope you are enjoying your school holidays! Riley and I are enjoying doing lots of resting and relaxing!!
I hope you are continuing to read and practise your maths knowledge in the holidays. Check out these great websites I came across..

Its been pretty cold hasn't it? I woke up one freezing, frosty morning to find that this beautiful spider web had been created on the tree by our porch. It just shows that even the cold weather doesnt stop spiders from working!
Enjoy the rest of your holidays and I will see you on Monday.

Topic words
Cause words (if, because)
Time words (Firstly, next, after, lastly)
Main Body (ideas into paragraphs)

Grab your grocery bags, we are off to the supermarket!!
Room 16 took a trip to Countdown supermarket on Wednesday 1st June. They got to go behind the scenes and see the produce, butchery and bakery! They then had to buy their ingredients for their Masterchef Challenge with their $40 budget
